Shopping in Santa Barbara

Shopping shopping shopping, everybody needs shopping, but one of the biggest problem is where to do it. Santa Barbara downtown has a nice section of stores that cater to a large variety of people. Most of the shops are of very good quality and there are many smaller boutiques that have lots of unique characteristics.

One can also larger brand stores such as Walgreens, Borders, and Nordstrom. Most of the shops are located along State Street, which provides easy access by car and walking. However, much of the shopping is only limited to that area and smaller pockets or plazas around the city. Larger malls and outlets are located further south and requires a significant amount of driving time. In this sense, it is rather inconvenient in terms of time and distance.

For instance, in order to shop at Camarrillo Outlet Mall, it takes 45 minutes of driving time, and usually much of the day is dedicated to shopping there because it would not be very practical for most people to drive that far just for a shopping trip.

So, larger malls and shopping centers are closer to Santa Barbara would make the shopping experience for the city much better for many people.
