Santa Barbara by Night

It’s midnight and I’m drinking a Cuba Libre at the Wildcat. Around me there are so many people; they are dancing, and drinking and everything is perfect to enjoy the experience. I feel that this is my night–here in Santa Barbara “By Night”!

There are many clubs downtown like the Wild Cat, Tonic, Madison and Co. At 10:30 pm in Santa Barbara’s main street has thousands (or is it hundreds) of people; most of them are students but there are also workers and tourists. The best days in S.B “by night” are Thursday night (College Party) and Saturday night. On Thursday most people head over to the Madison Bar because it is possible to get a cocktail for only one dollar; however there is also  good music, nice people to have fun with and space to dance! The biggest problem in Madison’s is waiting in the line… this is amazing, but if you want to drink and save money I advise you to do it!

On Saturday the best place to be happy, especially for international people, is the Wildcat.　Most of the time there is Techno Music and there are three spots to drink, one inside (across from the dance area) and two outside where it is also possible to smoke (if you are a smoker enjoy your cigarette ). At The Wildcat you have to pay a cover and most of the time it is five dollars.

All the Clubs in Santa Barbara play music until 1:30 after which you can go back home or (if you are lucky) you can find an “after-hours” party!　Outside the clubs you always find plenty of cabs, so if you’ve had one too many you can go back home without problems and you can keep your driver’s licence…..remember the cops are everywhere so look out, it’s better for you!
